Retro Dinner

Retro Dinner:  what was for dinner in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s.  I guess we could say this was long enough ago now to be considered “Retro.”    International cuisine was becoming popular:  Italian, Russian, French, Hungarian, Japanese, and Hawaiian, among others.  Our Midwestern family dipped in to these a bit, but we stuck close to home with our renditions of stews and hot dishes like the favored Hamburger Rice Hot Dish, Cowboy Food,  Grandma Marion’s Spaghetti and Meatballs and Meatloaf with Bacon.  Let’s explore this more.  Check back from time to time for these special retro dinner ideas.
