Let’s eat those brownies fresh out of the oven!

My sister helped a guy open a deli, and they needed some sweet items for the menu. My sister and I had been baking these brownies since we were little.  Our mom had the 1970s Betty Crocker’s Cookbook for Boys & Girls, and we would test out recipes on the weekends.  On the cover I think there is a group of seventies kids eating the brownies.  The deli was called Acme Deli, so I call my recipe “Acme Brownies.”  We vary it from the original recipe by just an extra spill of vanilla.  My mom would always tell us to fill the measuring spoon with vanilla so it spills over a bit.  So that’s what I always do.
